Don’t worry, I am going to teach you STEP BY STEP how to start your very own blog that looks nice, clean, and simple just like mine, and start making money 24/7.

Step 1. Choose A Name For Your Blog
This is going to be your brand. This is how people will remember you. What are you interested in? Brainstorm couple of ideas on paper and pick one. Don’t worry, there is money to be made no matter what your interests are. Don’t overthink it, keep moving forward.
Now we have to see if that name is available as a domain name. A domain name is like your address on the internet. It’s what people type in to get to your website.
For example: my domain name is Money247.com
Most domain names are taken. If you are interested in hiking, you will not be able to get hiking.com but you might be able to get HikingWithAndy.com
Here are some tips for choosing a domain name:
- Always choose dot com
- Keep it short and simple
- Easy to remember and spell
Once you find a domain name that is available, don’t buy it yet. I will show you how to get it for FREE in the next step 😀
Step 2. Get Web Hosting With Bluehost
Now we are going to get your blog live.
Relax, take a sip of your drink. It’s much easier than it sounds.
To get started, you need web hosting (where your blog lives) and a domain name (your blog’s address). The good news is that bluehost, my favorite web hosting company offers both as a package deal.

I recommend choosing this Choice Plus plan for $5.45/mo. Bluehost also recommends this plan.
Their basic plan cost only $2.95/month which is also a great plan but doesn’t come with daily website backup and few other extras that Choice Plus plan has.
But it’s totally up to you, whatever you feel comfortable with.
One of the main reasons i love bluehost is that all their plans come with a free domain name and pre-installed WordPress so you will be up and running in no time, and you don’t have to deal with all the technical stuff.
It’s All done for you, and you don’t have to know any coding like in the good old days.

After you select your plan, you will see this page.
Go ahead and put in your dreamed up domain name and see if it is available. If it’s not available, try another domain name.
Then fill out your account info.
On the bottom, they will try to sell you Package Extras. You don’t need any extras. Uncheck all those boxes.
Once you submit your payment, you’ll get a Congratulations and extra offers for various upsells.
Once again, feel free to ignore the extra services offered here. You don’t need any of these to start your blog.
Scroll to the bottom and click, No Thanks.
Now you’re all registered and need a password. Click on create password.
Step 3. Install WordPress
This is what i love most about bluehost, They will automatically install WordPress for you, and your domain name is also set up ready to go, so you can start building your website right away.
So there is nothing to do here. Let’s move on to the next step.
Step 4. Design Your Blog With WordPress Theme
We’re on step number four. Are you still here with me? Pat yourself on the back, if you’re still here, you’re doing great.
My end goal is that you start a blog and make Money 24/7 so hang in there.
In the blogging world, pre-built website designs are called themes. So you don’t need any coding skills. There are thousands of free themes to choose from, and you can change themes anytime you want. The theme you choose is what your website will look like.
Don’t worry, i am going to take you step by step thru this.

Go ahead and login to your WordPress.
Two ways to login to your WordPress:
You can either login to your bluehost account and then click login to WordPress from there or do what most people do.
Login using your domain name.
YourDomainName.com/wp-admin
For example, when i login i goto:
Money247.com/wp-admin and this page pops up.
Go ahead and login.
Not going to lie, when i first logged in and saw the dashboard, I got scared and nervous, and thought how am I ever going to learn all this. I have no clue what am doing. I felt like somebody threw me on the pilot seat and told me to fly the plane.
Don’t worry, you will become an expert with little practice in no time. It’s very easy. I recommend playing around with everything and see how it all works and watch some YouTube videos on WordPress.
Most importantly, I don’t want you to give up, cause I almost gave up at first. You are not going to be using all the buttons on here. I am so glad I didn’t give up. Look at the pic below. I am in Costa Rica at a beach front hotel, laying down at the pool, typing this right now on my iPhone, and when ever I am ready, I can hit that publish button on top to post it live onto my website Money247.com … simple as that!!!
Ok, let’s keep it moving. Once you are logged into WordPress, let’s install a theme.
Wow…as of right now, there are 10,789 themes to choose from.
Do you want your website to look exactly like mine? Nice, clean, and simple.
I installed a theme called Fairy by Candid Themes.
Goto Appearance, then themes, then click on “Add New”. There are over 10,000+ themes so use the filter button to narrow it down.
Just pick one that you like and click install. Do not pay for premium themes. I have been using free themes for years, and they work perfectly fine. Once installation is complete, click on activate, and you’re all set. We are ready for the next step.
Step 5. Customize And Optimize
Goto Appearance, then customize, then click on site identity.
This is where you add your site name and tagline.
My site name is Money247.com
My tagline is: It’s All About The Money
When you’re done, click on save and publish button.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
SEO is basically getting traffic from search engines to your website by using keywords and phrases. You need people to come to your website, so you can make money 24/7 even while you’re sleeping.
WordPress makes it super easy. We are going to install a plugin called Yoast SEO.
Goto your WordPress dashboard and click on plugins, then “Add New”
Type in Yoast SEO in the search bar and click on install. Then activate.
Let me tell you what Yoast SEO is going to do. Whenever you are writing a post, on the bottom of your screen, Yoast SEO will give you pointers to make your post google friendly.
Yoast SEO is not necessary, but it helps a lot to get free traffic for your website, so I definitely recommend it.
There are so many different things you can do with Yoast SEO, so i advise you to watch YouTube videos and set it up for your blog.
You can do this later. Let’s keep it moving.
Set up Permalinks
Permalinks are links that goto a particular blog post. WordPress automatically creates an ugly link with a bunch of numbers in it whenever you post. Google and other search engines don’t know what these numbers mean.
You probably know by now that Google is our best friend. We need Google to understand our website, so we can get free traffic.
Here is the easy solution to fix these ugly links.
From your WordPress dashboard, goto settings, then Permalinks, then click on “post name” and hit the save button on the bottom.
Now, whenever you post, it will automatically create links that Google understands.
We are done here. Let’s move on to the next step.
Step 6. Install Plugins
WordPress Plugins are kind of like apps that allow you to add new features to your website without writing any code.
There are over 50,000 plugins available. If you can think of anything extra that your website needs, there is probably a plugin for it.
Goto your WordPress dashboard and click on plugins and then add new button, then click on popular to see all the popular plugins.
If you are interested in any plugin, click on install and then activate and don’t pay for any upgrades. Almost all plugins will try to sell you an upgrade version. I have NEVER ever paid for any upgrade version, the free plugins work perfectly fine.
Here are the plugins that I currently use.

- Akismet Anti-Spam – protects blog spam
- Yoast SEO – Best for SEO
- Google Analytics For WordPress by MonsterInsights – shows how many visitors you get plus much more stats
- Duplicator – creates backup for your site
- LightSpeed Cache – keeps site running fast
- Smush – keeps your images loading fast
- AddToAny Share Buttons – lets users share your post
- Sucuri Security – scans for virus
- WPForms – contact, subscribe forms
That’s all the plugins that I currently use to run my entire blog.
Go ahead and install those plugins and click on activate. Here’s how you do it step by step.
Goto your WordPress dashboard and click on plugins, then “Add New”
Then in the search bar, type in the plugin name, click on install, then activate.
Do this for all the plugins that i recommended above.
I recommend deleting the plugins that you have not activated and don’t use.

Step 7. Write Your First Blog Post
To write your first blog post, goto your WordPress dashboard. Click on posts, then “add new”.
Start writing your post.
When you are finished writing, click on publish. It’s that simple.
